Ladies,
Whether you’re getting ready for your boudoir shoot or you just want to feel more confident in front of the camera, I want to give you my top tips that will help you feel beautiful and confident in front of the camera!
Know that feeling insecure is okay
We all need our own private space sometimes where we can have an emotional break down when needed; but, sometimes it’s nice to give yourself permission to let go and show off what you’ve got! It’s time for us ladies to take back control of how we want others to see ourselves by embracing all that makes us unique with confidence.
Accept yourself
There’s nothing wrong with your body. You are perfect just the way you are, and it is a shame to hide that beauty behind clothes or embarrassment about certain parts of yourself! I will help make sure everything looks beautiful in front of my camera during our boudoir session so we can capture those special moments together as well as create art for you to look at when things aren’t going exactly how they should be.
I am confident enough in myself—in each one of us women–to tell you: there is no reason not to love every inch (or more) because without them all put together, none would exist!
Choose the right photographer
What should you look for in a photographer? Honesty and trust and someone with an artistic eye and creative vision that will make your boudoir shoot memorable. If you have never done this before, don’t worry because I will help make the process as stress-free and comfortable for you. We will capture those special moments and beautiful images that are sure to remind you how incredible you are.
Have a Vision of your shoot
I want you to think about how you would like to look and feel when it comes time for your boudoir shoot. Do you have a vision of what this experience will be like? Now I want you to remember that vision whenever you feel uncertain or insecure before your shoot. Know that it is worth it, remember why you’re doing this shoot and know that I am here to make your vision happen.
Make a list of all your favorite ideas and don’t be afraid to share your vision with me!
Bring a Friend
When in doubt, bring a friend to your boudoir shoot. Your bestie can be there for moral support and keep you relaxed during the shoot.
Choose outfits that flatter your body type
You can look great and feel confident if you choose pieces that fit your body type. Finding the right outfits can be overwhelming, but I’m here to make it easy! Before your shoot I will send you a boudoir outfit guide and we will be discussing outfit ideas before your shoot so that you will come to your session feeling prepared and ready to capture beautiful images.
Let Go of your doubts
Don’t be afraid to let go and just enjoy the experience. The key to feeling sexy is letting your body move freely and not being afraid of what might happen if you do so. Trust the process and know that once you get your hair and makeup done and you’ve seen the first photos on the back of my camera you will have no more doubts about the photoshoot.
Practice in front of the mirror
It can be intimidating to pose in front of a camera for the first time. Practicing poses and facial expressions in front of the mirror before a shoot can help with any feelings of nervousness. Just know that I will guide you through every pose during the session so practicing beforehand is optional but may be helpful for boosting your confidence!
Smile
Last but not least: Smile! and remember that the photoshoot should be a fun time and a day for you to enjoy.
